Chicken Stew Recipe - Nom Yumm
What you need to cosy in winter day..The answer is
a bowl of hot Chicken Stew.
It is the best dinner for fall and
winter.You just need some simple ingredients to create that bowel of magic.
Ingredients
for Chicken Stew:
· Chicken, curry cut pieces with bones- 500 gm
· Salt-3/4 tsp
· Crushed pepper- 1/2 tsp
· Onions, fine chopped- 2 medium size
· Dried red chilli, chopped- 1
· Green chillies, chopped- 2
· Ginger garlic paste- 2 tsp
· Tomatoes, chopped- 2 medium
· Potatoes, diced- 2 medium
· Carrot-1
· Beans- Handful
· Water- 200 ml
· Salt- 1/4 tsp
· Pepper powder- a pinch for seasoning
· Coriander chopped- 2 tbsp
· Oil- 4 tbsp
*tbsp- table spoon *tsp- tea spoon
Preparation:
· Marinate the chicken pieces with salt and crushed pepper.
Set aside for 30 mins.
· Chop the onions, green chillies, dried red chillies,
tomatoes and coriander leaves.
· Peel and dice the potatoes. Soak it in water to avoid
darkening
Process:
1. Heat oil in a kadai or pan and add marinated chicken and
fry well.
2. Fry on medium heat for 3-4 mins till yellow (just soft) in
colour.
3. in the same pan add some butter
4. Add the chopped onion, green chillies & red chillies,
mix & fry for a minute.
5. Now add the ginger garlic paste & chopped tomatoes, mix
& fry for around 2 mins till the tomatoes become soft.
6. Put in the diced potatoes, carrots and mix well. Add in 1/4
tsp salt and mix it again.
7. Cover & cook on low flame for around 3 mins
8. Now add water, mix well, now add fried chicken & cover.
Cook on low flame for around 15 mins or till chicken become soft.
9. Once chicken is tender add beans, season with a pinch of
pepper and salt if required, add chopped coriander leaves.
10. Mix well and simmer for a minute or two.
